The Passive House Academy has announced details of  three new six-day Certified Passive House Designer (CPHD) courses in Cork, Newry and Dublin.

Academy co-founder Tomas O’Leary said: ”We always strive to meet the needs of the market place and in these challenging economic times we understand it's increasingly difficult for people to commit to eight or nine days training. So based on feedback from previous course participants we have reduced the duration of the CPHD course from eight to six days.  There is no compromise in the content and quality of the training on offer, all we have done is simply separate out the PHPP software element from the previous program, our focus is still very much on giving participants the knowledge they need to understand exactly how passive house projects work as well as preparing them for the international exam.“

With headquarters in Ireland and New York City the academy has developed and delivered a range of passive house courses and materials that are certified by the Passive House Institute and accredited by the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI). The academy is also involved world wide in the design, detailing and certification of passive house projects.

“Over the last ten years our dedicated team of specialist trainers has earned a strong reputation for delivering highly stimulating passive house training; we’ve received very positive feedback on the restructuring of the CPHD course and the great news is that the cost has been reduced to €850," O'Leary said.
